Stories from Štrbské Pleso
The library in Villa Marína is a public reading room for all our guests - a place of peace, relaxation and inspiration for every bookish soul.
You'll find it on the first floor of the villa, where silence, wooden shelves and stories worth opening await.
This library holds the spirit of the poet Maša Haľamová, who lived for many years in this very villa. Her poems about love, nature and life in the Tatras make her one of the most important personalities of Slovak literature.
The library has been here in the past - we are only improving it so that it will once again be filled with hundreds of new stories.
The library is here for everyone who loves books. If you visit us and want to share your experience, tag us on Instagram @vilamarina_tatry - we'd love to hear from you.
And just between you and me - we appreciate books. Please return them after you've read them, protect them from both coffee and rain, and treat them so they can serve others.
The library in Villa Marína was here long before that. We found it modest, with few books, but with a beautiful foundation and an idea that interested us.
Today we are trying to expand it to make it a place full of stories that guests will love to come back to. We are gradually adding books that are waiting for new readers, and we hope that this reading room will grow into a cozy space for every bookish soul.
The goal is: shelves full of stories that will make the moments of relaxation in Vila Marína more enjoyable.
